We had to cancel their original date for their engagement session only because it was raining, windy and downright miserable outside. Lacey really wanted snow for their pictures. I was so on board with this! We rescheduled for a week later, me crossing my fingers AND toes hoping for at least some snow. As luck would have it it snowed a few days before their engagement session!

We picked a park in Alpena for pictures. A place they both enjoyed taking walks through. We had this area to ourselves except for an occasional person walking their dogs, which had me stopping and petting those fur babies!

These two have their wedding date set in October over at the Jordan Valley Barn in East Jordan. I am so excited about this! This is such a beautiful venue and I can’t wait to photograph another wedding there!

Zach and Lacey were so sweet and adorable throughout their session. Laughing, smiling and looking so in love!

One of their biggest requests for their session was to have pictures taken at a local coffee shop called Cabin Creek Coffee. They have a bit of a history with this cute place. Here’s a cute story sharing why:

“In May of 2017, Zach and I were talking our way out of church. When we got to the parking lot, he asked, “so, are you ever not busy?”
“No, not really.”
“Oh … well, I was going to ask you out for coffee. But if you’re too busy …”
Without hesitation, I responded, “Oh! Well, I could make time for coffee.”
