Senior Sunday | Taylor | Class of 2019

One of my favorite places to go for senior portrait sessions, besides Colorado!, is Mackinac Island! I love this place for its gorgeous flowers and landscaping, smells of fudge, sounds of horse’s hooves clip-clopping down the street and all of the feels of being transported back in time. Mackinac Island is filled with charm and beauty not to mention all of its history! Any Michigander who has visited this quaint island will tell you it should be on your bucket list of places to visit!

This summer marked my fourth time doing senior portrait sessions on Mackinac Island and by far one of my favorites! My daughter joins me for these adventures and we make it a mom/daughter vacation having the best time. We stay right on the island at an adorable little bed and breakfast each year for several nights which has been perfect for my seniors to change outfits, touch up hair and make up, grab some water and a snack.

Taylor was my first senior session which almost didn’t happen because of some rough thunderstorms earlier in the day. We had to wait out some rain showers before we began, watching the weather radar before we could make a break for it. Amazingly we had a beautiful afternoon full of sunshine and blue skies. It was absolutely perfect for Taylor’s session.

I have known Taylor since she was little so along with her mom we felt truly comfortable with each other, talking and laughing throughout our time together. This young lady is amazing and anyone who knows her agrees her sweet personality, genuine smile and laugh will draw you in and love being around her. She was a dream to photograph and I will admit I probably took way more pictures than I needed to but with her blue eyes and sweet smile how could I not?

I am already making plans for next summer’s senior portrait sessions on Mackinac Island! If you are a class of 2020 graduate then now is the time to book your session. These fill up so fast and I can only accept a limited number of seniors, however I am considering adding an extra date!

Thank you again Taylor for being you for these senior pictures! I hope you enjoyed your senior portrait session as much as I did!!
